Hi Priya, I reckon the best way to learn how to read Tarot cards is to pick a card each day to study. Google its meaning. Stare at the picture and take note of what word associations pop into your mind. See what happens during that day that might be associated with that card. Focus on what suit it is (wands, swords, cups or pentacles) and what number as these have meanings which will help your understanding. You can search ‘readings’ on this site or others when you’re ready to do more complex readings. Cheers, tan.

Hi Conor, Reading the cards just takes practise. You look at the pictures and think about what they may might mean. Cups are feelings, wands are actions, swords are thoughts/words and pentacles are values. You read what other peeps think the cards mean. And eventually they start speaking to you. The first step is to buy a pack. I love the Rider-Waite-Smith version, but everyone has their own preference. All the best!
I decided to learn tarot during lockdown. I watched hours of many great readers on youtube and finally started my own channel. I think intention leads to ability…..i make tons of mistakes and my knowledge still is more superficial than I would like but the cards almost always tell a story. I think they are a guide and a tool to help focus on the energy around a subject and that has to be felt. But hey–what do I know? I say go for it. Thrilled to have found this site. Thank you.
