I don’t know about you but my Christmas holiday this year has not lived up to my expectations. It’s probably normal. You’re probably nodding your head right now, thinking, I hear you sister. Some of you at least. Holidays are unreliable like that, aren’t they? No matter how much planning you put into them you never know for sure how they’re gonna turn out. Makes me think of this card…

The Wheel Of Fortune: Sometimes the wind blows your way and sometimes it doesn’t. Or as one sage put it so eloquently: Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans!

One of the reasons my holidays have not turned out like I expected is this card…

The Hanged Man: Sometimes your life is not your own. Sometimes your needs have to bow to someone else’s. There’s a family member who needs a lot of my support right now. A lot a lot. And that’s more important than me having a good rest (she says with a sigh.)

The Moon: All I ever want to do on my hols is write. I have many novels in various stages of completion. But for the last few weeks I’ve been swept up in a decluttering mania. It just sort of came over me. This deep emotional pull to get my house in order (literally!) And I haven’t been able to stop throwing things out and rearranging the furniture. Not sure why. Maybe it’s because my Moon is square my Venus or something. But there you have it. Sometimes it’s your mood that dictates what kind of holiday you have.

So, nothing tres` bad. Just not what I planned. Did your Christmas break live up to your expectations?
