Wowser! While I was sleeping I gained a 100 more FB followers and a few more on this blog. Aw, shucks. And here I was thinking you’d all desert me (fair enough too) because I’ve been so slack. I’d like to think I provide quality content which stands the test of time and this suggests that maybe I do. Thanks for sticking by me through the thick and (very) thin. I had no idea an hour ago that I was about to write a slew of posts, it just happened. And that’s how I want this blog on Tarot cards to be: propelled by intuition. As a good friend of mine said recently, she can always tell when I’m not on fire. I don’t want to let you down by writing when I’m not at my best (although let’s face it, I probably still will from time to time, lol.) I guess I’ll see ya when I see ya.

Two Of Pentacles: Nurturing All Sides Of Your Personality
Continuing on the theme from my previous post…I feel the need for a break from the internet. Not completely, whoa, let’s not get carried away. More a slowdown. My gut instinct is protesting. Yelling at me to switch off and read some books for awhile. To balance me out. My yin with my yang. Being a Gemini I’m very aware of the double-sided nature of my personality. I guess that’s why I’m not posting as much lately. It’s not you google, it’s me. Really.
The Two Of Pentacles card can be a reminder to pay attention to other aspects of your life. Especially when reversed.
Have you ever taken a break from the Internet for your own sanity?
Eight Of Pentacles Reversed: Overdosing On The Internet
There can definitely be too much of a good thing. And being an all or nothing person I am often guilty of taking things to the extreme. Like the internet. Ever since I discovered blogs last year it’s like I can’t switch off. I just keep hitting buttons until I find something to read for hours each night. It’s kinda like gamer’s brain I guess. For the past six weeks I’ve been obsessively researching food blogs to find things I can $#@! eat. And I think I’ve finally blown a fuse, lol. Do they have rehab for internet addiction?
Any other addicts out there?
Nine Of Swords: Making A Mountain Out Of A Molehill
Nine Of Swords: Making a mountain out of a molehill.
I read this slogan on Biddy Tarot’s latest email today and thought it was too good not to pass on. Often you are worrying over nothing with this card. It’s a reminder to chillax. To not let fear rule your life. Easier said than done of course. I reckon meditation is a good antidote to this mindset. Or doing something along those lines. Like reading a good book or exercising, something that takes your mind into a different zone.
Are you a Nine Of Swords worrywart?
The Devil + Two Of Swords: Introverts Don’t Flourish Under Pressure!
So I’m deep in the Year Of The Devil card and feeling the heat baby. Under pressure at work and at home. And I’m finding it difficult to write on this blog (you might have noticed, lol.) The problem is I’m an introvert. A rare species but we do exist. Us introverts need time to ourselves or we become exhausted, unable to perform any but the most basic functions. It’s a fact. A phenomenon. I read this great article today about how introverts write in a different way to extroverts. We can’t just push through, we have to make space in our heads for the words to come. And that’s what I don’t have any of at the moment: head space. Apologies for my slackness but I promise I will write when I can.
Any other introverts out there find it hard to write when they’re tired?
Four Of Pentacles Reversed: When Money Slips Through Your Fingers
Tonight’s topic was inspired by a recent email from Biddy Tarot. The woman who runs this site, Brigit, makes a lot of sense. I highly recommend you check it out.
When the Four Of Pentacles is in the upright position you see a man in possession of four pentacles which he holds tightly in his grip. Pentacles represent things of value, money being the most obvious example. The pentacles themselves are in the shape of coins. Thus, this man is seen as someone who holds onto the things he values in life. Someone who’s a good budgeter.
However when you reverse this card the coins look as though they are going to slip through his fingers. The Four Of Pentacles Reversed can represent someone who’s not much chop in the budgeting department. Someone who may need their credit cards chopped up, lol.
Are you good or bad at budgeting?
Three Of Wands: Broadening Your Talents
Here’s some of the weird and wacky things I bought at the market this morning as part of my new eating regime: chicken feet, lamb necks, wallaby steaks, saltgrass-fed lamb shoulder from Flinder’s Island, a pot of kale, an enormous lamb liver, fish heads, fresh sardines, komboucha (fermented tea), coconut flour and a lamb’s heart. Might take me awhile to work up the courage to eat that last one, lol.
As I was driving home I got to thinking about how I’m in the process of developing a whole new set of skills in the kitchen. This seems like a Three Of Wands experience to me. Continue reading
Six Of Wands: Winning!
I mentioned a few weeks ago that I’ve been diagnosed with an auto-immune condition called Alopecia Areata which causes random bald spots to form on your head. I only have one so far, thank God, but have been under threat of more.
Auto-immune conditions are not very well understood. The first thing my doctor told me was that she wasn’t able to help my condition, only monitor it. That I might get lots more spots or none. That it might take years for my hair to grow back. Oh, yay! Continue reading
…And I’m Back!
The Tarot Of The Beauty Pageant Winner
I plan a post on the Tarot of The Beauty Pageant Winner and by an amazing coincidence the winner of Miss America is crowned at the same time. I must have been picking up the vibes in the air somehow. More importantly, I finally have a clear enough head to write a post two days in a row, whoo-hoo, now that really is something worth celebrating. Let’s get stuck into it shall we?
