Judgement: Softening What’s Rigid In Your Heart

Reading these words really hit home for me…

‘If we want there to be peace in the world, we have to be brave enough to soften what is rigid in our hearts, to find the soft spot and stay with it. We have to have that kind of courage and take that kind of responsibility. That’s the true practice of peace.’

To me this is a classic Judgement quote. Because the ultimate judgement is to be compassionate. To forgive others. To forgive yourself. To soften what’s rigid in your heart. Only when you do that can you reach the ultimate Tarot card: The World.

I clicked on an article today at The Huffington Post (an online news media) titled ‘Nearly 20 Percent Of Young Adults Admit To Doing This During Sex’. Thinking: ‘What are those young people up to now? Don’t tell me that as well as being more functional than my generation (X) they’re also having better sex!’ I imagined I was going to learn they’re all giving each other head (which I’ve heard they are) whereas in my day that pleasure only flowed in one direction and I was prepared to be very jealous of the women of Generation Y. But instead here’s what I read…

Nearly 20 percent of young adults between the ages of 18 and 34 use their smartphones during sex.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. The jokes on me. Ah, the choices we make, even when getting intimate with the ones we love.

The Fool. Patron saint of all new enterprises. Publishing your first post on a blog. Starting at a new school. Getting ready to jump out of a plane. Psyching yourself up to ask a question or make a comment at a meeting. Feeling your dad let go of your bike after you’ve just given up your training wheels. Pulling out a credit card to place an order for a set of window shutters to the tune of $2000 (that was me yesterday and hell yeah it was scary, that’s a looooot of money).
