I’ve written before about how Tarot contains a holy book that charts the journey of a human soul through all the stages and experiences of life. I call these cards Life Lessons Tarot. But they’re better known as the Major Arcana.
These lessons are divided into three parts. We’ve already looked at the first two parts this year: Childhood & Adulthood. The third volume represents maturity.
This is the scary part. These cards will shake, rattle and roll your world. The last seven cards of Tarot’s Holy Book are the most intense to live through. But if you can manage these energies in a positive way you get to hit the jackpot. You get The World!
It’s been created in response to the current scandal surrounding Facebook which has seen many users ditch the social media platform. In the most damaging controversy to ever hit Facebook it has been accused of allowing another company to harvest personal data to influence the last U.S. election.
I was lucky enough to see Ed Sheeran in concert the other night, with the added bonus of one of my favourite Australian musical acts, Missy Higgins, thrown in. I bought the ticket a couple of hours beforehand on impulse. It was a beautiful Melbourne day, the concert had been getting rave reviews, and I have a soft spot for Missy (even more than Ed).
This led me to wonder about the Tarot of a Music Concert.
I finally got around to watching Westworld. Despite many recommendations from friends, I didn’t like it’s misogynistic overtones. Of course, once I started, I couldn’t stop. Which doesn’t mean it was perfect.
Here are my many thoughts on the Tarot of Westworld.
Whoops! I went on holiday to the beach for five days and was accidentally disconnected from the world. The internet connection on the Gold Coast in Australia leaves a lot to be desired. All the enormous concrete buildings here block the signal. But for some reason it’s started to work now on my last night away. Maybe because it’s been gorgeous today and most peeps are still on their way home from the beach. Or could it be that last night’s thunderstorm cleared the air? I’ll never know. But gosh it’s good to be hooked up to the mainframe again.
Spiritual practice will not eliminate negative emotions. Emotions are part of the palette of life, part of the way consciousness moves. Not only can’t you get rid of them, but you’d feel empty and impoverished if you did. Practice can change your relationship to emotions, so that instead of being swamped by certain feeling states, you can hold them, contain them, see into their essence, and ultimately, use emotions in the service of your liberation.
I read this on Mystic Medusa’s blog today and immediately thought: Hells to the yeah! Too many peeps confuse being a spiritual person with being a good person. Imo they are not the same thing and you can see this clearly in Life Lessons Tarot (aka the Major Arcana).
