The Tarot Of Elections
It’s the day after the election here in Australia and while most peeps are probably nursing a hangover after celebrating the win or the loss I thought I’d have a look at the Tarot Of Elections.
Two Of Pentacles: Juggling The Good With The Bad
I’ve just finished reading Dan Brown’s latest blockbuster ‘Inferno’. I loved ‘The Da Vinci Code’ and have read several of his other novels. Some of my friends look down their noses at his writing and when I started reading ‘Inferno’ I was determined to pay closer attention to the text. And what a shock it was. Either his writing has deteriorated or I’ve been blind. Large slabs of the story were basically travelogue slash history lesson. But I read on because there were still things for me to enjoy in the story.
This to me is a Two Of Pentacles situation. I was prepared to put up with the tedious writing to enjoy the benefits of a good plot. In life you have to juggle the good with the bad.

Eight Of Pentacles: The Apprentice
The Eight Of Pentacles. A boy hammers away at a task, doing the same thing over and over again. Presumably getting better each time round. This is the apprentice card of the Tarot. The card of carpenters. electricians and plumbers as they learn their trade. The card of writers struggling in their garrets to get that first novel up to scratch (or maybe just on the lounge in front of the heater?) It’s the celebrities on Celebrity Apprentice completing tasks to raise money for charity, hoping they won’t get fired by Donald Trump at the end of the day. Total focus. Working hard. Paying your dues. With the promise that it will all be worth it in the end.

Ace Of Pentacles: Manifesting Your Goals
Wow! A sign just came up saying that the last post I did was my 250th on this blog. That seems quite an achievement. If there was a Tarot card that showed a bottle of champagne being popped and fireworks going off I’d use that to illustrate this news but as there’s not I’ll settle for the Ace Of Pentacles instead. I have a wealth of posts. And followers as well. Even though it actually took a lot of hard work it feels like a gift. Thanks you dear readers for making it all so worthwhile xx

Hmm, interesting. I get this card all the time in my readings yet I’ve barely written about it on this blog. I obviously need to be pay it more attention. One of its meanings is going through hard times. Maybe you’ve lost your job or your income. Maybe you’re struggling to make ends meet. You definitely feel alone with your troubles. Sometimes though it’s more a case of feeling poor than actually living in poverty (cough cough).
