The Wheel Of Fortune represents the passing of time, the cycles of life, the ups and downs we go through. Reversed it can signify a cycle out of whack. On speed. Crazed. This is a card for our times if ever there was one. We’re all caught in the 24/7 media spin cycle. Beit conveyed the old fashioned way via television and print or spewed out of the internet on blogs, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, whatev. Continue reading

The Wheel Of Fortune Reversed: Same Old Same Old
Anyone else get a major whiff of deja` vu this time of year? The same old articles trotted out on avoiding over-indulgence on Christmas Day, the mayhem of Boxing Day sales and advice on how to get a toned bod (it’s summer here in Australia). Seriously. I think newspaper editors just recycle the same stuff every year.
Albert Einstein said that the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. Yet every year we trot up to the same faces at Christmas dinner and expect to avoid the arguments we had last time round. We make the same New Year’s resolutions to lose weight, exercise more or give up smoking and expect them to work. Doh!
For me The Wheel Of Fortune Reversed is the card that represents being stuck in a rut. Repeating old patterns. Some peeps are happy to stick with the same old same old. Me, not so much.
How do you keep this time of year fresh and meaningful?
Wheel Of Fortune: The Ups And Downs Of Blogging
This blog had a record high number of hits the other day. And I hadn’t even posted anything. A grand total of 169 views. Whoo-hoo! A small step for mankind but a big step for me. (I believe in celebrating the little victories.) What entertains me no end about blogging is that success is so random. You never know when a post is going to hit home or fall lamely by the wayside. You just throw your words out into the world and see what sticks. I often get big hits and new subscribers when I’m not writing at all, which is hilarious. There’s no rhyme or reason, it just seems to be luck of the draw. The internet algorithms finding the right person on the right day at the right time.
Do you blog or have a Facebook page? How easy/hard has it been for you?
The Tarot Of Elections
It’s the day after the election here in Australia and while most peeps are probably nursing a hangover after celebrating the win or the loss I thought I’d have a look at the Tarot Of Elections.

Tarot Card Angels
My weekly email from Biddy Tarot has inspired me to look at the angels in Tarot. They are found on Life Lessons (aka Major Arcana) cards which are the most significant ones in the Tarot deck. Each is an archangel i.e. they are serious players in the angelic world, what they have to say is important. So if they turn up in a reading, pay attention!
Wheel Of Fortune: Karma At Work
I was talking about the Wheel Of Fortune card this afternoon with a friend who was sacked a couple of days ago. This is her Tarot card-of-the-year. The Wheel of Fortune represents the ups and downs of life and we all know which category getting sacked falls into. Talk about a major downer. But whilst my friend’s sad and shocked by what’s happened she’s also excited by the opportunity it presents her. You see, Continue reading
Tarot Thoughts On Blogging
So, I’ve been blogging for a while now and thought I’d explore my experience through Tarot cards…
The Comfort Offered By The Wheel Of Fortune
I haven’t written much about the Wheel Of Fortune. It’s one of those cards that seems blindingly obvious as it represents the ups and downs of life. You win Tattslotto, you get fired. You miss out on buying the house of your dreams, a better one comes up. Your child crashes the car, your child aces his exams. You get the good and the bad in life. No one is immune from disaster or unblessed in some way.
What I find incredibly comforting about this card is Continue reading
The Chariot Reversed: Reining In The Horses
Subsequent to my last post in which I explained I was finding it difficult to write every day I’ve decided to change the timing of posts on this blog aka this card:
