Earlier this year the obituary of a Texan man went viral because of its brutal hilarious honesty. His family wrote as follows… Continue reading

Nudging
A nudge is a little push. Animals nudge their young to steer them in the right direction. And now behavioural scientists are suggesting parents use this strategy as well, to steer their young in the right direction.
Kids definitely don’t seem to respond to this strategy… Continue reading
Crying Wolf
One of the most famous English folktales is ‘The Boy Who Cried Wolf’. The story goes that a young shepherd would trick his fellow villagers by shouting for help, pretending that wolves were attacking his sheep. Several times the villagers rushed to his aid, only to discover the shepherd laughing at them. Of course, when a wolf really did attack, no-one came to his aid.

The Tarot of Westworld
I finally got around to watching Westworld. Despite many recommendations from friends, I didn’t like it’s misogynistic overtones. Of course, once I started, I couldn’t stop. Which doesn’t mean it was perfect.

Honestly, life is too short to expend it watching peeps behave in a disgusting manner. But I recently succumbed because I wanted to see Margot Robbie’s breakthrough performance. Margot is not only a luminescent screen goddess but a fair dinkum sheila from Australia, like me (the Australian, not the goddess part, lol).
The Tarot of the Wolf of Wall Street would go something like this… Continue reading
The Tarot of The Women’s March
I attended the Women’s March in Melbourne this afternoon. The first of many being held around the world in support of the Women’s Marches in the U.S. tomorrow. Six thousand of us turned up. Not a shabby turnout for a sunny weekend day during summer.
I’m not a regular political activist. I don’t join marches at the drop of a hat. So I want to explore the Tarot of what I experienced… Continue reading
The Tarot of an Australian Summer
It’s summer in Australia at the moment. There’s been heatwaves and record-breaking storms and sharks in unprecedented numbers. So I thought it might be fun to explore the Tarot of an Australian summer… Continue reading

As President-Elect of the United States of America, Donald Trump is going to be in our faces a great deal for the next few years. No matter which side of the political fence you fall on, no matter what you think of him, there’s no doubt that he falls under this Tarot card… Continue reading
